JUNIOR PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
Junior Competitive Training GroupA program for junior athletes preparing for competitions in sprint kayaking, canoeing, and other paddle sports.
This is not a recreational group. This is a serious athletic development program for motivated junior athletes who want to progress, compete, and grow both individually and as part of a crew.
Main Focus of the ProgramThe main goal of the program is the maximum progress of each athlete and each crew.
We focus on:
  • paddling technique;
  • speed development;
  • stroke power;
  • paddling-specific strength;
  • speed-strength endurance;
  • general physical preparation;
  • race strategy;
  • starts, acceleration, and finishes;
  • individual and crew performance;
  • competition preparation.
Training takes place on the water, on land, and in the gym.
On-Water TrainingOn the water, athletes will work on:
  • proper paddling technique;
  • posture and balance in the boat;
  • efficient paddle work;
  • start speed;
  • acceleration;
  • maintaining speed throughout the race distance;
  • final sprint;
  • rhythm and stroke rate;
  • race-distance execution;
  • crew work;
  • correction of technical mistakes.
Land-Based TrainingOn land, we develop the physical foundation that directly affects performance in the boat.
The program includes:
  • general physical preparation;
  • paddling-specific physical preparation;
  • speed-strength training;
  • explosive power development;
  • core training;
  • coordination;
  • balance;
  • mobility;
  • stretching;
  • Pilates;
  • gym training;
  • functional training;
  • training on professional paddling ergometers.
Performance TrainingThe program is built around a performance training approach.
This means every training session has a specific purpose:
  • to increase speed;
  • to improve technique;
  • to develop strength;
  • to build endurance;
  • to improve core engagement;
  • to prepare the athlete for competition;
  • to move the athlete to the next performance level.
We do not simply train. We analyze, correct, and structure the process around each athlete’s progress.
Training Process AnalysisAll group participants will receive ongoing analysis of their training process.
Each athlete will have a training journal where we track:
  • completed training sessions;
  • training volume;
  • speeds;
  • distances;
  • heart rate zones;
  • physical condition;
  • recovery;
  • technical notes;
  • test results;
  • progress on the water and on land.
This journal allows us to monitor the athlete’s development not only from one session to another, but throughout their entire athletic career.
Video AnalysisRegular video analysis is part of the program.
We will:
  • record training sessions;
  • analyze paddling technique;
  • identify mistakes;
  • correct movement patterns;
  • break down the work of the body, arms, legs, and paddle;
  • compare the athlete’s technique with high-level paddlers;
  • analyze race-distance execution;
  • improve the efficiency of every stroke.
Video analysis helps athletes see themselves from the outside and correct mistakes faster.
Educational Classes for AthletesParticipants will receive not only training, but also knowledge that helps them better understand their body and the training process.
The program includes lessons on:
  • general physical preparation;
  • basic anatomy;
  • how muscles work;
  • how the body responds to training loads;
  • heart rate zones;
  • recovery;
  • proper nutrition;
  • athletic discipline;
  • gym training;
  • injury prevention;
  • stretching and mobility.
Athletes will understand why they perform each exercise and how it affects their results.
Interactive Training and Professional EquipmentThe program will use professional training equipment and interactive training systems.
These sessions help athletes:
  • develop paddling-specific strength;
  • control power output;
  • track tempo and rhythm;
  • analyze performance;
  • improve coordination;
  • transfer physical preparation into on-water results.
